HOURS:

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday - 
Classes begin at 7:30 am and end at 2:10 pm.  
Tuesdays - 
Classes begin at 7:30 am and end at 12:15 pm with special student activities until 1:20 pm and staff professional development.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

A VERY IMPORTANT QCS ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING FOR THE QCS PAC:

THIS WILL DETERMINE THE DIRECTION FOR THE PAC AND ITS EXECUTIVE.  MONDAY, MAY 30TH, 2016.  IT WILL BEGIN AT 6:30 PM.

KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION - June 2nd, 2016.  It will be a morning event at the CNAQ. More news to come.  

WATER DAY @ QCS - June 2nd, 2016.  We have 80 participants to date.

GRADE 12 CAP AND GOWN with HIGH SCHOOL AWARDS FORMAL PROGRAM This was held at the CNAQ auditorium on the evening of May 19th, 2016.  A posting with the Award Recipients will be finished soon!  Congratulations to all!



LITERACY RESOURCE - Alberta Education forwarded QCS a link for Schools and Parents that many centres and families in Canada are now using.  We thought we would pass it along:  https://www.getepic.com 

THE JUNIOR HIGH STUDENTS will now begin (May 22nd, 2016) focused literacy time on preparation for reading and interpreting standardized exams during their afternoon option block from approximately 12:45 pm until 2:10 pm daily.  It will be a two week initiative.

PROVINCIAL ACHIEVEMENT TESTS (PAT's) - will be given to the Grade 6 and Grade 9 classes.  These core standardized subject specific exams are for Social Studies, English Language Arts, Science, and Mathematics.  Their dates are mandated by Alberta Education and will be sent out with the QCS Exam Schedule this week.  

GRADE SIX ORIENTATION MEETING - The administration will meet with the Grade 6 students to help each student understand their new transition into Junior High School.  Parents are welcome.  It will begin at 12:45 pm.

                                          NEW REGISTRATIONS - We continue to process new registrations for our upcoming academic year, fall 2016 through 2017,  in doing so you should as an applicant fill out the online form under our ADMISSIONS tab.


TIM HORTON'S – We thank this company for their great service to our school.  With Ramadan in June, these delivered lunches will not be possible, however, we will welcome them back in the fall of 2016!

GRAD AND AWARD Photos - The photographers were at the evening event for the QCS Graduation and High School Awards.  Digital copies of photos for preview will be available shortly, and can be ordered thereafter.  It was a great evening!
  



DOT DAYS for QCS

In celebration of our 10th year of the QCS being open we will have a DOT DAY each month.

where the spring heat is on and graduation is here.)

a time to finish the year with exams and reporting grades, and to say goodbye.)
